THE THREE WATERS

The Old Testament describes 3 major events involving water.

1. The Great Flood
2. Crossing the Red Sea
3. Crossing the River Jordan.

These 3 events symbolise and reflect:

1. The nature of God
2. The process of man being brought back into relationship with God
3. The means God used to restore this relationship.

To understand the full significance of God's plan for mankind since time began it is important to understand these events. They occurred approximately 1500 (the last 2) and 4,000 years before the birth of Christ, beautifully symbolising what was to come and showing the balance of judgement and love in God's nature.

The '3 Waters' amazingly illustrate God's plan for mankind since time began revealing the 3 aspects of each of *the nature of God God's pattern for the restoration of mankind to Him * God's method for mankind's restoration to Him.

</INEXT WEEK:</i> GOD AND MAN continues...

as we look at why Moses missed out on the Promised Land.

A NOTE FROM DAVID

Isn't it amazing how God's plan has been there from the very beginning!

We have an amazing God!

Church of the Holy Sepulchre

Originally built by the mother of Emperor Constantine in 330 A.D., the Church of the Holy Sepulcher commemorates the hill of crucifixion and the tomb of Christ's burial.

On grounds of tradition alone, this church is the best candidate for the location of these events. The Garden Tomb was not identified as such until the 19th century.
