BREAKING THROUGH
I have just returned from Wellington, the capital city of New Zealand, which is notorious both for its politicians (what capital isn't!) and its winds and horizontal rain! It is apparently the least polluted city in the world, for pollution doesn't stand a chance with the wind! A great place for umbrella sales too - they don't last long before being blown inside out! If they were made too strong the wind would carry you away! A slight exaggeration perhaps, but you get the picture! While coping with the weather, a number of us from our church and city attended an intercessory prayer conference, 'Breakthrough 2002'. The primary objective of this annual conference is to encourage people to saturate the nation with prayer. Praying individually, and by arranging for groups within churches to cover each city, area and the country with prayer, 24-7. In our area, the appropriately named Bay of Plenty, this goal has been reached, with different churches undertaking to pray for a day or part of a day once a month, both for the area and for the nation. Our church takes the 7th, splitting the day into 48 quarter hours and arranging for one or more people to cover each time slot. And by the way, ours is only a relatively small church, with round 120 adults attending services!
While New Zealand is only a small country of less than 4 million people, and where it sometimes seems that everyone knows everyone, at least in the Christian world, co-operation is perhaps a little easier. But the principle of saturation prayer over the nation and areas within the nation, is a vital one for spiritual breakthrough to take place. Surely worth thinking about for your area too? It all starts with one person - that one could be you. Contact me and I will put you on to those who can pass our experience on to you.

FROM THE WORD
"For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ." (2 Corinthians 10:4-5)"Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armour of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armour of God........ And pray in the spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. (Ephesians 6:10-13a,18)
DAVID'S DOODLINGS
*** The foolish man is satisfied with reading the Word, a wise man follows the Word, but the godly man is as one with the Word.*** The lips of a foolish man blaspheme God, those of a wise man honour God, but a godly man’s lips glorify his God.
*** Worldly success is fleeting, heavenly glory, eternal.

FACTS FOR FUN - INTERESTING BIBLE FACTS
FACTS FOR FUN - INTERESTING BIBLE FACTSLAST WEEKS QUESTION: Which two books in the Bible do not mention God?
Answer: The Books of Esther and Song of Solomon.
THIS WEEKS QUESTION FOR YOU TO ANSWER TO ME!!!
During the week I got this email from Ronnie of Britain:
" Dear David, Thank you for the continuing flow of material from WWJ.
We evangelicals take a strong stand that we believe the Bible to be nothing
less than the inerrant, inspired Word of God. Saying that, even believing it,
does not, sadly mean that we always live as if we believed the Bible. Why
don't you ask the question, (a little tongue in cheek), "Which is the least
believed verse in the Bible?", and see what sort of reaction you get?"
What a great idea!
Therefore This Week's Question is: WHICH IS THE LEAST BELIEVED VERSE IN THE BIBLE?
Please let me know your answer by emailing

JUST JOKES
MIXED BLESSINGSA father gave his daughter an untrained puppy for her birthday.
An hour later, he found her in the kitchen, looking at a puddle in the centre of the floor. “Look Dad,” she said, “My pup runneth over!”

PLEASE MAKE THE TIME TO HAVE A LOOK AT...
... the poem "Seven Times Shed For Me". Based on truths revealed to me through the teaching of Dr Derek Prince, this is a powerful (even if I say it myself!) presentation of the pain and suffering Jesus went through before being hung on the cross. Use it as a personal devotion for the Easter season or feel free to make it a part of an Easter service or communion, if you wish. When I have used it, in several different situations, there has always been a powerful response.Much to my surprise, the 'Waxing Lyrical' page is consistently the most popular on our website. So, if you haven't visited it yet, please take this opportunity. I didn't know poetry could be so much fun and so powerful until the Lord inspired me to start writing it!

A DAVID MUSING
This is Issue 23 of 'PGIM!' The number 23 has absolutely no significance whatsoever. When you think about it, people in many countries celebrate the coming of age at 21. 22 is well known as the number of players on a soccer pitch. 24 is two dozen and 25, a quarter of a century. But poor old 23 is nothing at all!So, it seems a good time to celebrate, to make number 23 proud to be something, to be recognised for a change! These 23 issues have been both a challenge and a blessing to me to write, and I trust an encouragement and a blessing for you to read. You haven't cancelled out, at least! Preparation time started at 8 plus tentative hours then plateaued out at 6, and today will be a record 4-5. I am told that the quality has improved at the same time. Must be a moral in that somewhere!
Learning to use a new computer system too, is always a challenge, particularly when a hacker decides to take an interest in your efforts. But as in all the things the Lord leads us into, we are told to persevere in spite of and through difficult circumstances. For perseverance strengthens our faith and helps bring us towards maturity in Christ. At times we all feel like giving up. But we need to remember that the only way to avoid criticism by others and attack by the enemy is to do nothing, and that is not really an option, is it?
Besides, number 23 might miss out on its moment of fame and recognition and recognition, and that would be sad, wouldn't it! So until number 2... next week, Kathy and I wish you every blessing for the Easter Season. May many come to know Jesus this Easter.

Our role is to bless and encourage those in ministry while promoting co-operation and unity of direction amongst the body of Christ, as emphasised 3 times by Jesus in His longest prayer, immediately prior to His arrest and crucifixion. "… so that they may be one as we are one." (John 17:12, 21, 23-4) Our website is currently being developed to encourage your participation one with another, to share resources, and to enable you to promote events and items of interest to the body as a whole – and have a smile while doing it!
